PDF to Word
Convert PDF documents to editable Word files.
How PDF to Word works
Choose a PDF and let PixelFree extract the content it can interpret, then download the generated DOCX file. The result is intended to make text easier to edit and reuse rather than to promise pixel-perfect reconstruction of every page.
Why PDF and Word behave differently
PDF stores fixed page positions, while Word uses flowing paragraphs and editable document structure. Multi-column layouts, forms, decorative positioning, floating images and complex tables may therefore require cleanup after conversion.
Digital PDFs versus scanned PDFs
A digital PDF often contains selectable text that can be extracted directly. A scanned PDF may contain only images of pages. If the text is not selectable, run OCR PDF first to recognize the text before expecting a useful editable Word result.
Editing the output
After conversion, check headings, paragraph spacing, lists, page breaks, tables and image placement. It is normal to make small edits in Word after converting a complex PDF.
Good use cases
PDF to Word is helpful when you need to reuse a paragraph, update a report, edit a form draft, recover text from a PDF or create a new document based on existing PDF content.
Privacy
Supported processing is designed to happen in the browser, reducing the need to upload the document to PixelFree for routine conversion.
Frequently asked questions
Will PDF to Word preserve the exact original layout?
Not always. Fixed PDF positioning does not map perfectly to Word’s flowing document model.
Can scanned PDFs become editable Word text?
Scanned pages generally need OCR before reliable editable text can be produced.
What output format is created?
The tool creates a DOCX document when conversion succeeds.
Will my original PDF be changed?
No. The source PDF remains unchanged and a new document is generated.
