Rotate PDF

Rotate every page in a PDF by 90°, 180° or 270°.

Files stay in your browser for supported PDF tools. Office conversion tools are not enabled until a reliable document engine is connected.

How to rotate a PDF

Choose a PDF, select the rotation you need, apply it to the relevant pages and download the corrected file. Rotation is useful for sideways scans, camera captures and pages saved with the wrong orientation.

Rotation versus page size

Rotating a page changes its orientation, not the content itself. A portrait page rotated 90 degrees becomes landscape in orientation, but the tool is not rewriting the text or reformatting the document.

Mixed-orientation documents

Some PDFs intentionally combine portrait and landscape pages. Review which pages need correction before applying the same rotation to the entire document.

Scanned PDFs

Rotation works for scanned page images because the scan is part of the PDF page. If you also need readable text from the scan, use OCR PDF after the orientation is corrected.

Before downloading

Check that text reads naturally from left to right and that no page was rotated unnecessarily.

Privacy

Supported page rotation is handled locally in the browser.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate a sideways scanned PDF page?

Yes. Rotation can correct page orientation even when the page contains a scan.

Does rotation edit the text?

No. It changes page orientation rather than rewriting page content.

Can a PDF contain both portrait and landscape pages?

Yes, so review mixed documents before applying one rotation to every page.

Is the original PDF overwritten?

No. The corrected result is created as a separate file.
